Eagle-eyed viewers of the popular ITV programme “I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here” may have noticed Boy George tapping in some episodes of the show.

Boy George, whose real name is George O’Dowd, has been using Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) “tapping” to reduce stress and anxiety while being in unfamiliar surroundings, unable to have time away from his fellow camp mates.

In the show’s “diary room,” a place where celebrities can speak directly to the camera about what’s happening in camp and how they feel, Boy George was filmed talking about his experience and use of tapping. As he spoke, a scene was displayed showing him tapping on his chin and collarbone points.

“For me as an observer of my own feelings, it’s mind-blowing”

George continued to use the tapping technique, along with Buddhist chanting and meditation, throughout his appearance on the show to help him remain calm and grounded, especially when tensions were running high between the TV personalities and celebrities.
